Advocacy Services

Personalized care for lasting change.

Survivors of sex trafficking often face multiple barriers, including poverty, homelessness, substance abuse, and violence. Breaking Free takes a holistic approach to advocacy, ensuring that each individual receives the support needed to navigate these challenges and rebuild their lives. Our advocates work one-on-one with survivors to develop personalized case plans, connect them with essential services, and directly advocate on their behalf within various systems.

Comprehensive Advocacy Services:

  • Basic Needs Support – Ensuring immediate access to food, clothing, hygiene products, and other essentials to promote stability.

  • Safety Planning – Developing individualized strategies to help survivors navigate dangerous situations, minimize risks, and establish secure environments.

  • Emotional Support – Providing trauma-informed guidance, peer support, and crisis intervention to foster healing and empowerment.

  • Legal Advocacy – Assisting survivors with restraining orders, expungement of records, court accompaniment, and navigating the legal system.

  • Resource Navigation – Connecting survivors with housing, healthcare, employment assistance, and other community resources to support long-term recovery.

Our advocacy services are trauma-informed and culturally sensitive, ensuring that survivors receive the care and respect they deserve. By addressing immediate needs and long-term goals, we empower individuals to move forward with confidence and self-determination.
